Some teams seem to be in Free fall and sadly Italy appears to lead the pack. Ever since the World Cup, things have not been going in the right direction and the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Brazil in the Confederations Cup sums it all. All Italy needed was a 3-1 defeat and they managed a 3-0 loss!hmmm...Not good. Not good at all with the World Cup looming. Unless things change quickly, the World Champions will be crashing out without a fight!
The Team that lost: :(
Buffon, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Chiellini, Dossena, Camoranesi, Montolivo (Pepe 47), De Rossi, Pirlo, Iaquinta (Rossi 38), Toni (Gilardino 57).

Man Utd accept £80m Ronaldo bid
What the...???I have heard that the sky is the limit, but this is absolutely atrocious! 80 mil for CR7? Well...this is interesting stuff as ManU now have to replace Ronaldo with someone who is close enough. Sadly there are few and far in between.

It's done!
Finally the speculation is all over. Kaka has moved to Real Madrid in one of the biggest moves of the summer. For the past 2 seasons, the rumour mill has been active in reporting interest from Chelsea, Real and Man City. After last season's fiasco with City, a few of us - like me- thought it would mean the enigmatic Brazilian would remain at the San Siro for a long time to come. But, alas, things have changed in just a few months. Real have done what City could not - prise Kaka away! The fee is reported to be staggering £56m, which would be the record. It's a sad day indeed over Milan and it will take a long time for someone to fill in the void left by his departure.
All said and done - He is one of the greatest players to don the Red and White.

E-Street Band
Why now? you may ask. But at least now is what I would say. The E-Street Band has been part of my life for quite a long time. For those who do not know yet...
Shriram, Karthik, Anand and I are the ESB.
Initially it was only Shriram, Karthik and I for quite some time and then Anand was 'initiated' into the ESB a good 6 years back. From there, we have a come a long way through the up's and downs in life and have finally landed here - today! The fact that Shriram and I are in Bangalore, Karthik in Dubai and Anand in Coimbatore does not really make a huge difference in this modern world where everybody is literally a call away!
In my life, a lot of people have come and gone - some making a difference and some not quite missed. But I am certainly happy the E-Street Band is there and it ranks right up with a couple of other people.!
...for the E-Street Band!

TGIF
Another week has gone by and brings us to yet another weekend. Ahh bliss! What the weekend holds in store - I do not know. But I hope it makes up for the 5 days at work and then again, for the next five days at work as well ;)
