Missing on the plane...

The squads for the World cup have been finalised and as it is always, there will be surprises! Here is a look at some of the 'famous' absentees...

- the entire Italian and Dutch teams
- Joe Hart and Wilshire for England
- Fabregas and Morata for Spain
- Mauro Icardi for Argentina
- Martial and Lacazette for France
- Nainggolan for Belgium

For a few of them like Hart and Nainggolan, this is probably the end of their national team career, the latter having announced his retirement too. And though players like Fabregas and Icardi can still be part of their respective national teams, they might be 'too old' for the next world cup. Watching the cup from their homes will be painful but they will still be cheering on their teams for ultimate glory as the world cup is indeed something special!
