Masters of Europe

With the Europa league final less than 24 hours away, the Champions league final a week away and the different leagues done and dusted, all eyes are still on 4 English teams. In a first - for me atleast - both the European cups will go to England with Spurs taking on Liverpool in the Champions League final and Chelsea fighting it out with Arsenal for the Europa League. Both the games promise to be entertaining based on how their league encounters turned out and It would be thrilling if Spurs can win their first trophy under Pochettino to showcase the good work that he has done.

Sad but true

Here we go again....so near yet so far again. With the play off loss once again, Leeds are stuck in the Championship for at least another year. The run to this season's final few weeks were immense with Leeds leading the table for quite a while and promotion looking more of a reality than ever before. However, a few crucial defeats and the slip into the play off positions killed the title charge.

There will be several changes to the team and hoping against hope for the next season.

Play-Offs again

Leeds are once again in the play off 's and have a slender 1-0 lead over Derby after the first leg. If they can hold their nerve for two more matches, this season would be an absolute success.

So near- hope it is not - yet so far

Just a few weeks ago, the mighty whites were in a brilliant position in the Championship table - just one off the top. But now, with just one game to go, Leeds are 3rd and 5 points behind Sheffield United. What looked like automatic promotion to the Premier League now appears to be the same old story - Play off's! And with the recent history against Leeds in the playoffs, we might languish here in the Championship for at least one more season.

Hoping against hope for a good draw and run to be the 3rd team moving up the ladder.
