Before the start of the match with Arsenal at the Emirates, there was optimism and hope. When the first one went in because of an error, the optimism was vanishing and was replaced with silence. With the second and the red card for Ayling, hope turned to despair and anger at the prospect of dropping down into the Championship.
Soon it turned to sadness as it looked like an uphill task to get anything out of this game and get valuable points for staying up.
When Llorente pulled one back, with the only shot on goal for Leeds, there was some hope for a point. But by the final whistle, it sort of aunk in that this could again be a repeat of how we went down into the championship and that is where we are right now. It looks like it is a race between Burnley and Leeds and it is not looking good for Leeds...sadly.
